Erica has loved horses all of her life. She has been drawing them for as long as she can remember and working them into nearly every school art project; sometimes to the annoyance of her teachers. But those assignments allowed her to experiment with various media and gave her to tools to quickly branch out from graphite to pastels and watercolors as demand came for those in portraiture. A love of the sciences also helped with the study necessary to understand structure and lead to branching out to subjects besides horses. She loves working on portraits and finding the little things that make each subject sparkle. Her portfolio depicts a variety of breeds and types because every horse, in his uniqueness, is lovely.
