There is so much to riding and to horses that goes beyond barn time. I have created a line of riding journals, horse care ledgers, activity and coloring books, and trivia books for riders of all ages.
E.S. Damon grew up in the horse industry, riding at sales barns and showing with 4H. She pursued her degree in Equine Business through The Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst and has spent many years teaching riders of all ages and levels. She has ridden and shown in many disciplines including Hunt Seat, Dressage, Western, and Gymkhana. Through all the different types of riding and horses, she has always tried to be thoughtful in her approach to them. Now she is creating guides to help other riders do the same and has just earned her New England 4H judges card.

Rocko's First Horse Show
Horse shows are fun, but they can also be nerve-wracking.
It’s Emma’s first year in the walk-trot division and her pony’s first show. Rocko is a very handsome pony, but he is pulling all his tricks and Emma has to figure out how to help him. Luckily, she has her best friend there with her.
Lucas has been in this show before and has some tips to offer, and helping his friend might just help him forget his show-day nerves.
A day full of surprises and excitement shows both riders that teamwork and good horsemanship can turn a tough situation into a great day.
Welcome to Pony Camp
Lucas and Emma are off for a week at pony camp! They are looking forward to riding new horses and making new barn friends.
Fitting in can be difficult when the other kids have been riding longer and you’re one of the youngest kids. While Emma has some trouble picking up new terms in their lessons, Lucas has a run-in with a mean bully.
Each setback shows them how important friends are. Knowing when to ask for help, and staying positive can turn a bad start into the best week ever.
